IVN is an international mining company with operations focused in the Asia Pacific region. IVN's core assets are its world-scale Oyu Tologoi copper and gold mine development project in Southern Mongolia. IVN also is actively exploring for additional high-quality, world scale copper and gold discoveries in China.

In 2006, world mining leader Rio Tinto (RIO) agreed to form a strategic partnership by investing in Ivanhoe and through an Ivanhoe-Rio Tinto Technical Committee, will jointly engineer, construct and operate Ivanhoe's Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold mining complex in Mongolia's South Gobi region. Rio Tinto's total investment in IVN may now reach US$2.3 Billion!

Why would this world mining leader invest this much money in IVN if they didn't believe IVN would also become a major success!?

A past test has showed that IVN's Oyu Tolgoi could produce approximately 35 Billion pounds of copper and 11 Million ounces of gold! Think about how much potential revenue that is with gold prices skyrocketing every year!
